Dr. Bruce Wood
Dr. Bruce Wood has been a founding board member of Jake E’s Riding Round Up since 2011. He earned Bachelor’s, Master’s and Educational Doctorate degrees from Texas A&M – Commerce, Texas. Throughout his career as a former teacher, school administrator, superintendent, and Kaufman County Judge, Bruce has come to see the significance of organizations like Jake E’s Riding Round Up in serving the community with meaningful Christ-centered outreach and programs. Dr. Wood draws upon his professional background
to provide leadership oversight and governance as a board member of Jake E’s. He and his wife, Susie, reside in Terrell, Texas, and have three daughters and a son. The Wood family attends the First Baptist Church of Terrell, where Dr. Wood serves as a deacon.
Pam Corder
Pam Corder currently serves as the Kaufman County Urban Forester and is a Founding Board Member for Jake E’s Riding Round Up. Pam lives in Rosser, Texas with her husband Shannon, and their two children. She enjoys
spending time outdoors with her family. In addition to her board member duties, Pam is a Certified Arborist and provides support as a Consulting Arborist. She also helps with the petting barn at Jake E’s Riding Round Up.
Pam's passion for helping others through equine assisted activities is what drives her involvement with Jake E’s.

Darla Quebedeaux Fountain
Darla Quebedeaux Fountain is the sister of Jana Ewing-Syvrud, the founder of Jake E’s Riding Round Up. She is a Founding Board Member for the therapeutic riding facility. Darla earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech pathology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has been providing evaluations and treatment to individuals since 1987 and has been in private practice since 1995. Darla's professional experience with special needs individuals allows her to contribute to the mission and development of Jake E’s Riding Round Up while honoring her late nephew, Jacob Eli Ewing. Her vision for the future of Jake E’s Riding Round Up is to touch and influence as many lives as possible with the love and healing power of the Lord through His people and animals.

Walt Davis
Mr. Walt Davis is the newest Board Member of Jake E’s, having joined us in September 2021. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas. With his professional and leadership experience as a teacher, basketball coach, and Superintendent of Terrell ISD, he brings invaluable expertise to our non-profit organization. Mr. Davis is a founding Board Member and a full-time volunteer for The Bucket Ministry, a group dedicated to sharing the Gospel and providing clean, safe drinking water to underserved areas of the world. Additionally, he is a member of the Missionary/Evangelism committee at the First Baptist Church of Terrell, Texas. Mr. Davis and his wife Brenda enjoy spending time with their family and outdoor activities.

Carolyn Hunt
Carolyn relocated to Texas in 2019 after spending 20 enriching years in Alabama. With a heart devoted to the Lord, she has faithfully served her church from the “second-row piano side” as a pastor’s wife for 48 years, all while navigating a fulfilling career in the corporate world.

Alongside her husband, David, Carolyn co-founded Provisions For Life, a nonprofit mission organization dedicated to ministering internationally. Her commitment to community and leadership has been recognized by the United States National Guard and Reserve, where she received the esteemed Seven Seals Award during her time with the Mobile Alabama Area Chamber of Commerce.
Bringing a wealth of experience to Jake E's, Carolyn has thrived in diverse roles, including Bible teacher and speaker, business owner, office manager, executive assistant, and corporate event planner. Her background spans various industries, including insurance, construction, interior design, corporate aviation, and community service.
Passionate about nurturing the lives of others, Carolyn encourages individuals to explore and deepen their relationship with Christ. She believes in the transformative power of equine therapy as a means to facilitate healing for both body and soul. With a gentle spirit and a heart for service, Carolyn continues to inspire those around her.
